LA CEN is a portrait of a small town in Cuba, originally built to host what was considered the largest project of Fidel Castro’s era, the first nuclear reactor in the Caribbean, called “the construction of the century.” Four protagonists provide insight into everyday life in this “nuclear town,” navigating between the dusty dreams of technical progress and the longings of the present. A bittersweet Cuban story.
